Day 01 Guwahati to Kaziranga | Into Rhino Country

Arrive at Guwahati Airport and drive approximately 4.5 hours east along the Brahmaputra plains to Kaziranga National Park. Check in to your jungle lodge and enjoy an evening orientation walk and naturalist briefing.
Day 02 Kaziranga | Dawn Elephant Safari & Central Range

Ride elephant-back into the misty grasslands at dawn — the closest and most magical rhino encounters in India. In the afternoon, take a jeep safari through the Central (Kohora) Range, prime territory for rhino, wild buffalo, and swamp deer.
Day 03 Kaziranga | Western & Eastern Range Safaris

Morning jeep safari in the Western (Bagori) Range — the park's highest rhino density zone. In the afternoon, explore the Eastern (Agaratoli) Range, Kaziranga's birding jewel, with pelicans, storks, and fish eagles along the wetlands.

Will I definitely see rhinos at Kaziranga?
As close to guaranteed as wildlife watching gets — Kaziranga protects over 2,600 one- horned rhinos, roughly two-thirds of the entire world population, in open grassland habitat where they are visible on virtually every safari. Multiple sightings per drive are the norm, not the exception.
What is the elephant safari like?
The dawn elephant safari is Kaziranga's signature experience — riding into the misty grasslands as rhinos graze undisturbed just metres away, an angle and intimacy no jeep can match. Slots are limited and allocated by the forest department, which is why we book well in advance.
When is Kaziranga open and when is the best time to visit?
The park is open from October–November to April–May, closing for the monsoon floods. December to March offers the best combination of weather, birdlife, and comfortable safari conditions; February–March brings shorter grass and the easiest sightings.
