Sightings today are frequent, close, and often prolonged — prides at rest in the golden grass, males patrolling the forest tracks, cubs at play in the dry riverbeds.

Two full safari days anchor the itinerary — dawn drives as the forest exhales and the lions finish their night rounds, and evening sessions as the prides gather — with Gir's rich supporting cast throughout: leopards in remarkable density, marsh crocodiles in the Kamleshwar reservoir, and  300+ bird species.
